报告题目：Broad-host-range genetic tools for cyanobacteria and heterologous expression of natural products
Dr. James W. Golden received a Ph.D. (1983) in Biology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. After postdoctoral work as an NIH Fellow at The University of Chicago, he joined the Department of Biology at Texas A&M University in 1986. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 1990 and then to Professor in 1996. Dr. Golden moved to the University of California, San Diego in 2008.
The research direction of James W Golden is Genetics and molecular biology of cyanobacteria with emphasis on biosynthetic genes for natural products and development of genetic tools for biotechnology applications.
