胡炜,男,博士,研究员,鱼类基因工程学科组组长,副所长。国家杰出青年基金获得者,国家自然科学基金创新研究群体学术带头人。先后在南开大学和中国科学院研究生院获学士、硕士和博士学位。农业农村部神农领军英才,国家特色淡水鱼产业技术体系岗位科学家。第四届和第五届国家农业转基因生物安全委员会委员,第六届和第七届国家水产原种和良种审定委员会委员和顾问委员,国家蓝色粮仓科技创新重点专项总体专家组成员,中国水产学会淡水养殖分会副主任委员,中国动物学会理事。Reproduction and Breeding和农业生物技术学报副主编,Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology、Water Biology and Security、水生生物学报、水产学报和中国农业科技导报等学术期刊编委。

主要从事鱼类分子遗传育种的基础研究与种质创制关键技术探索。以鱼为模型,合作发现脊椎动物的一种新的生殖内分泌激素----分泌神经素(Secretoneurin, SN),并揭示其作用机制;发现了鱼类生殖质特化形成原始生殖细胞(Primordial Germ Cell, PGC)的新类型因子sinhcaf,阐释了配子发育与成熟的组蛋白去乙酰化修饰与RNA的m6A甲基化修饰新机制;刻画了GnRH3、Kiss和GABAergic神经元的分布模式及其相互关系,发现了GnRH3神经元新亚群GnRH3-OE,具有感知和传递性信息素,将化学信号转化为繁殖行为反应的新功能,发现GnRH3具有调控鱼类求偶行为和PGC增殖及性别分化的新功能;发现鱼类生长轴与生殖轴调控的新通路GH-Leptin-GtH。提出并创建了基于鱼类PGC发育精准调控的生殖开关育种新策略;建立鲤性控技术,研制出全雌鲤和超雄鲤;创建黄鳝基因编辑技术、雄性定向发育技术、人工诱导雌核生殖技术、四倍化育种技术、全基因组选育技术,培育出黄鳝新种质和新品系。建立模式动物斑马鱼的克隆技术,获得斑马鱼体细胞再程序化机制及克隆胚发育机理研究的新发现。

先后主持国家自然科学基金创新研究群体项目、国家杰出青年基金、国家自然科学基金重点项目、国家重点研发计划项目、973课题、863项目、中国科学院国际合作重点项目及湖北省杰出青年基金、湖北省创新研究群体等项目。在PNAS,EMBO Reports,Science Bulletin等学术期刊上发表研究论文80余篇,其中封面论文6篇;参编国内外著作6本。授权美国发明专利4项、中国发明专利18项。
